Draft & Sealed Synergies

Best cards to pair with Winter, Tormented Loner in Reality Fracture limited

common

Silence the Echo

Sorcery

Silence the Echo requires sacrificing a creature or planeswalker, and Winter's triggered ability when you sacrifice a creature forces each opponent to sacrifice one too, making Silence the Echo a two-for-one removal spell.

Rampart Hunter

Creature — Horror

Rampart Hunter is a creature you're happy to sacrifice for Winter's trigger since it already provided value on entry, and the resulting forced opponent sacrifice can remove their best creature.

Budding Insurgent

Creature — Dryad Scout

Budding Insurgent can sacrifice itself to destroy an artifact or enchantment, and Winter's power grows with each creature in your graveyard, so Insurgent's sacrifice both removes a threat and makes Winter larger.

uncommon

Way of the Necromancer

Legendary Enchantment

Way of the Necromancer puts loyalty counters on planeswalkers whenever a creature dies, and Winter's sacrifice trigger causes multiple creatures to die at once, generating a burst of loyalty counters for your planeswalkers.

mythic

Garruk, Veiled Butcher

Legendary Planeswalker — Garruk

Garruk's -2 sacrifices a creature and creates a 4/4 Beast, and Winter's ability can sacrifice that Beast to force opponent sacrifices, while Garruk's static ability exiles opponent's creatures that die from Winter's trigger.
