Draft & Sealed Synergies

Best cards to pair with Edgar, Moonlit Sovereign in Reality Fracture limited

common

Tam's Resistance

Sorcery

Tam's Resistance puts a +1/+1 counter on Edgar and gives him vigilance, and Edgar's {4}{G} ability doubles all existing counters on creatures with counters, so the counter from Tam's Resistance gets doubled for rapid growth.

Emergency Phytomedic // Seed Suture

Creature — Dryad Cleric // Sorcery

Seed Suture puts a +1/+1 counter on Edgar, and Edgar's doubling ability then multiplies that counter, while Emergency Phytomedic itself can receive counters to become a growing threat alongside Edgar.

Budding Insurgent

Creature — Dryad Scout

Budding Insurgent has vigilance, which pairs well with Edgar's end-step counter accumulation since you can attack with Edgar and still hold up Budding Insurgent to sacrifice for artifact/enchantment removal without losing Edgar's counter trigger.

uncommon

Gallia, the Merrymaker

Legendary Creature — Satyr

Gallia gives all creatures with +1/+1 counters haste, and Edgar accumulates counters rapidly at end of step, so Edgar quickly gains haste from Gallia and can attack immediately after receiving counters.

Mabel, Valley Hero

Legendary Creature — Mouse Soldier

Mabel puts a +1/+1 counter on any creature that enters, giving Edgar an immediate counter that Edgar's doubling ability can then multiply, creating a powerful counter-stacking engine between the two legends.
